Hoddesdon Bowls Club (Rosehill) is in an easy to reach area, at its current location since 1936. Many of our members come here from Hoddesdon, Broxbourne, and Nazeing. We also have members who come from further afield from Cheshunt, Enfield, Hertford, Ware, Stanstead Abbotts and Bishops Stortford who find it worth travelling that extra distance to join in our friendly atmosphere.
As a private members club with excellent facilities, Hoddesdon Bowls Club (Rosehill) enables members of all abilities to enjoy a wide range of recreational and/or competitive lawn bowls activities throughout the summer season, during April to September. In addition, our members enjoy a wide variety of other recreational and social activities throughout the whole year.
The new decking/viewing area is now open. It was great to see so many members enjoying relaxing with a drink, having a good natter, enjoying the home game against Much Hadham on Sunday 8th May, on a fabulous blue sky day. If you haven’t done so yet, please come along and enjoy the seating area while watching a home game.
A County Pairs competition game was played between two Rosehill pairs teams on Thursday 5th May. Chris Bartlett & Malcolm Songer played against Nick Elmes & Peter Shemilt. Well done to the Kingfishers team in their first league game of the season played at Rye Park on 5th May. Team A lost 23 to 7. Team B won 10 to 27. An overall win 34 – 33, scoring 4 points. A great start to the Kingfishers season!
